Netflix Adapts Classic Board Game ’Clue’ Into Reality Show, Boosts Stock
Netflix shares ROSE over 2% to $1,187 following the announcement of a reality TV adaptation of the classic board game Clue. The streaming giant is collaborating with Hasbro, which owns the game's rights, and Sony's production units IPC and B17 to modernize the 1943 murder-mystery game for contemporary audiences.
The project taps into nostalgia for Clue, known internationally as Cluedo, where players solve a fictional murder by deducing the culprit, weapon, and location. Iconic characters like Colonel Mustard and Miss Scarlett will feature in the new format.
